Yes — when used as directed.

Our Tallow Body Serum Candle is made with skin-friendly oils and butters that melt at a lower temperature than traditional wax candles.

Always blow out the flame and allow the oil to cool slightly before pouring a small amount into your hands and applying to the skin.

Does it feel hot on the skin?

No — the oils should feel comfortably warm, similar to a warm massage oil.

We recommend testing by dipping the tip of a finger into the oil, and by pouring a small amount in your hands first before applying to larger areas.

When is the best time to use it?

Most people love using it after a bath or shower, when skin is warm and ready to absorb the nourishing oils.

It’s also beautiful as part of an evening wind-down ritual.

Can I still use it as a candle?

Yes — you can absolutely enjoy it as a candle to create a relaxing atmosphere, even if you don’t plan to use the body oil every time. The candle will set again once cooled.

How long should I burn it before using the oil?

Usually 10–15 minutes is enough to melt a generous pool of oil for application. The longer you burn the candle, the more oil you will have to pour. Allow the oil to melt to the edge of the glass all the way around before each use, this will prevent the candle from tunnelling in future melts.
